Good Morning from Valdosta, Georgia y’all 🍑
I woke up this morning around 7 am and felt great. I hit the pillow hard last night and slept like a champ! Everyone else was in bed until just before noon, so I sat around and checked emails, got some work done and enjoyed some amazing coffee ☕️. Our friends that we’re staying with don’t drink coffee, but made certain that I had a pot ready to brew this morning when I got up ❤️.
Korey got up first and kept me company as he chopped up potatoes for a homemade breakfast (what a hostess).
The boys ran around this morning getting stuff to do a quick tune up on the truck before we get ready for our month of adventures ahead. Tiff and I (yep, two Tiffs 👯) ran a couple of errands and we stopped by her gym so I could take a peek. What a sick gym! We had every intention on making it back this afternoon for a workout, but it was so cold, and with everyone’s schedule being out of wack, we lost that motivation 😜.
For lunch we took a trip to Moe’s Southwest Grill. I don’t even remember the last time I had Moe’s. I had a bowl made up of: rice, black beans and spicy chicken topped with lettuce, tomatoes, hot sauce, a shot of chipotle and yes, guacamole. I ate half and took the remains to go.
We sat around the house most of the afternoon catching up and reminiscing. Tiff and I played a few hands of rummy while contemplating plans for the evening.
This evening after much debate on whether we wanted to get up and get dressed to go out, we finally did. I think everyone was a little tired due to lack of sleep, but we all knew it was our only night here, so we wanted to do something. We ended up going to a really great place, Friends Grille and Bar. Being that I had a light breakfast and lunch, I splurged for the fettuccine with chicken. I ate every bite. It was incredible!
We came home, and within 30 minutes everyone was off to bed 😴
It was a great day!! 💜❤️
