Wrapping up the weekend-

Good Morning ❤️

The weekend is coming to an end and I am ready to tackle a new week ahead!
We had a fairly low-key weekend. Wes had to work Saturday morning, and I had to work Sunday so both mornings, we were up early and headed for the gym to get each day going.

My pre-workout meals always include a hearty carb, protein, and a bit of fat. Saturday: Proats with peanut butter. Sunday: Oatmeal and eggs

Saturday’s workout was back focused and full of supersets. I ended with HIIT training on the stairmill- 20:00 total- 1:00 sprint/1:00 recovery (slower pace).
Sunday was a high volume deadlift day, that ended with tricep isolation.

You guys know that I am usually a creature of habit when it comes to my food sources, so my post-workout has been pretty-much the same everyday for the last two weeks: a protein shake (BPI’s snickerdoodle protein and a banana🍌)

Saturday was spent cleaning, food prepping, doing laundry and checking in with clients. It was a beautiful day, so I spent my lunch on the patio.

Wes worked late on Saturday, so we weren’t able to go out for dinner to indulge in a weekly cheat meal. I did however substitute my cheat for a bag of potatoes followed with a protein cookie🍪.

I want to point out that I used this as my weekly cheat meal. Often, you will see people posting pics of these protein cookies with the suggestion that they are macro friendly and healthy. They are not 😶. Guys, if you look at the macros on the back, half of this cookie would be a meal replacement for most, and a whole cookie has 15 grams of fat! It blows my mind that people add protein to a cookie and people think that its healthy. Many people would look at this bag of potatoes and a protein cookie and think that it is fairly well balanced. This meal shares relatively the same macros as a cheeseburger and fries- that is why it was considered my cheat meal for the week.

Sunday’s lunch was spent on the patio as well ☀️ I am in love with this weather!

Sunday afternoon I headed into the salon for the rest of the day.

I was home by 7pm cooking dinner:

Now it’s time to pile up and enjoy some snuggles❤️ Happy Sunday!!!
